Virtual Field Trips are an informal learning experiences that gets students out into the world, exploring the world and students' interests. Trips to museums, parks, historical sites, and more show students that learning and life happens outside the classroom, too. Virtual field trips allow learners to engage with and to learn about authentic artifacts and to explore places is important to their discipline of study and consistent with their individual learning needs. A virtual field trip is a guided exploration through the World Wide Web that organizes a collection of pre-screened, thematically based web pages into a structured online learning experience. The live links with experts on-site in real-time is a key aspect in creating a "real" experience for students. We will start our summer exploration introducing our members to Spanish, Spaniard, geek, and African culture.
